Let us begin with a short personal background. My name is Gunawan Rudy–a pseudonym of course. My family at home call me “Rudy”, some of my friends and bloggers call me “Gun” or “Gunawan”, and my friends at college call me “Koh”. I was a kid born and raised in Borneo Island, Indonesia from 1990 to 2007. I love my hometown—generally where the heart is—a small but peaceful town Palangkaraya, Central Borneo. Now I am living in Jogyakarta, tackling (previously) International Relations and now Cultural Anthropology. Relatively new to being a freelance web-designer, but have started web-designing before that.

KTP My hobbies involve blogging, backpacking, reading books, photography, vectoring, and web designing. Do not have talent, but talk too much about art. Things that I cannot do without at work include my laptop (obviously), Adobe Photoshop, Notepad++, Dji Sam Soe cigarettes, Cap Orang Tua red wine, and a listening to a distinguished list of music on my Last.fm station–particularly Virgiawan Listianto; Fals Forever! My time is dedicated to mostly building my projects, programming and designing, with my occasional tendency to overwork on a project. And yes, I do designing, CSS slicing, and WordPress weblog developing. I started working as a freelance designer in early 2008; though I have been designing since 2006. Specialize in clean and minimalistic but powerful website design service including website design, banner and logo design, website redesign, also personal weblog. Also familiar with blogging platforms such as WordPress and Blogger.

I do have more works that I cannot display here. First, because this portfolio is ever in-development, and there are some clients who disallowed display of my works for them here. Almost all my works are custom developed from scratch. I love standars. I care about clean (x)HTML, CSS, accessibility, and usability. Other designers will try to sell you on what they do best, but I prefer to sell what is most suited to your needs.

You can hire me for custom website or blog designs; my specialty lies in WordPress installation, PSD conversion to (x)HTML, design, and development. I always negotiate contracts on a case by case basis, and we can discuss in a nice pickle about billing options for my services. Consultation is free of charge, just contact me.
